The following are examples of overarching values that shape the curriculum:-
- Evaluation- such as in Mathematics where the learners find the value of given expressions.
- Prediction- as in Science experiment about what will therefore most likely happen from an outcome of one which was successfully conducted. This is also hypothesis.
- Correlation- in finding how one factor can affect the other ,eg performance and level of contact teaching time.
- Analysis- of information as in data collection and their interpretation to get meaningful understanding.
- Synthesis- as in Science where there is deeper understanding and hence application of a concept.
