Online Facilitators Competencies
Carr (2009) identifies the competencies of an ideal facilitator. These are listed in the table below and are organised into five categories:
- Supporting Online Learning
- Social Skills
- Online communication skills
- Technical Skills
- Social Networking Skills
The table below from Carr's guide (p87) encapsulates the different competencies a facilitator should have.
