The Kenyan ICT CFT course is predominately an online course. How regularly do you have a connection to the Internet? We recommend that you have at least daily access.
How often will you have access to the Internet?
How will you connect to the Internet? What type of computer device will you be using? The course has been optimised for devices using either a Windows, Android or iOS operating system. Previous participants, however, have recommended you have access to a PC or laptop for the optimal experience.
What type of computer or device will you use to access the course materials?
The course designers have organised activities that assume you have some teaching experience. They often call on participants to reflect on existing class room practice and suggest new methods. We recommend that you have at least 2 years teaching experience.
How much teaching experience do you have?
The course designers have also assumed that you already are beginning to use ICT in your teaching. They have stipulated that completion of the ICT Integration in Primary Education course or its equivalent is mandatory before enrolling for the Kenyan ICT CFT Course. We recommend that you already use ICT at least a few times a week in your teaching.
To what extent do you already use ICT in your teaching?
The next four questions are related to your existing ICT skills. There are activities in the course where you will need to use a word processor, spreadsheet, presentation package and search the Internet. There are no tutorials on how to use these programs built into this course. We recommend that you are comfortable using these programs and ideally are an intermediate user.

The course will attempt to provide you with a host of ideas of how you might use ICT to improve implementation of educational policy, access and satisfy curriculum requirements, improve pedagogy, enhance classroom management as well as become a life long learner....
